Review by Sorcha Regan

This book has something to offer everybody –it is very comprehensive and informative. It covers a lot of current issues around dyspraxia or developmental coordination disorders. The book gives a description of Dyspraxia /D.C.D., describes different aspects of the condition, discusses the issues and provides us with some very useful and creative advice.

This book is geared towards professionals who wish to further develop their knowledge of Dyspraxia and also for those who are just discovering this complex condition. However it also provides a very useful reference for parents about subjects which may concern them, such as nutrition and behaviour.

The book may also help parents with creative suggestions for schools when planning services for their children.

The chapters on language ,communication, behaviour, and social issues explore these subjects in great depth. There are also brilliant suggestions for helping teachers in planning Individual Educational Profiles.

I would recommend this book as a most useful and practical resource. It is ideal for dipping into and would be an excellent addition to any library.
