How you can help

The following is a list of ways you can help the association achieve its goals:

Members

We are always looking for more members to join the association. This helps by way of getting much needed funding and also to have a larger voice when corresponding with Government departments. It also assists us in raising the awareness of Dyspraxia.

Regional Support Groups

In order to support the parents and children outside Dublin, with the help of regional support groups they can assist in raising awareness in their county, giving talks in schools and raising the issues with local counselors. The association will support the regional groups with information and material.

Committee

Our committee members are made up of parents that give their time on a voluntary basis. With the workload that is involved in establishing the assessment and treatment centre, running the office, raising awareness, giving talks in schools, managing the help line, fundraising, attending seminars, organising the annual conference... there is a lot to be covered. In order to share this workload we are always looking for and welcome new members to the committee.

Awareness

We are always looking at ways by which we can raise awareness of Dyspraxia throughout Ireland. If you can help in any way we can forward on information booklets etc to assist you with this.

Donations

To assist with the running of the operations of the association along with the assessment and treatment centre, the association needs financial support. All funds received go to great use as we run the organisation on a very tight budget and we keep costs to a minimum.

Any corporate bodies that are willing to sponsor the association as part of their corporate social responsibilities we would very much welcome the opportunity to discuss our objectives and plans further with you.

All corporate donations above a certain level are publicised throughout our material and website which in turn gives the corporate making the donation an added bonus.

If you would like to discuss any of the above with the association, please contact Harry Conway on 01 404 5530
